Being a Muslim it is the duty of every Muslim to recite The Holly Qur’an (the message of Almighty Allah). The highest authority in Islam is the Qur’an, having a combination of 114 sarees and each Sura consists of individual Ayaat called as Verses. There are total 6,384 Verses in the Holly Qur’an. This book (Qur’an) was verbally revealed to Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and customary his first revelation in the cave of escalate Hira through the angel Gabriel. This completed over the period of twenty three years. View the Qur’an as Allah’s final revelation to the humanity and has the solutions of all problems of humanity.
Qur’an has remained unchanged for the past 1400 years. Millions of copies of the Qur’an are present around the world and all are same to the single original format. And this is not strange because Allah says in the Qur’an that He Himself will guard the Qur’an:
"Surely it is We Who have revealed the Exposition, and surely it is We Who are its guardian". (15:10)
The Qur’an has been translated into most Persians, English, Urdu and many other languages. “Salman Parsi” is the first translator of the Qur’an, who translated Sura Al-Fatiha into Persian during the 7th century. The first fully attested translations of the Qur’an were made between the 10th and 12th Centuries in Persian.
The Samanid king, Mansur (961-976), ordered a group of scholars from Khorasan to translate the Qur’an, in its original form, into the Persian language. Later in the 11th century, the Tafsir of the Qur’an was translated into the language “Persian”, by one of the students of Abu Mansur Abdullah. In the 12th century, the Qur’an was translated in the language “Persian” by Najm al-Din Abu Hafs al-Nasafi. The formats of all three books have saved and have been published several times. In 2012, according to the record of Hürriyet Daily News and Economic Review, Qur’an was present in 112 languages at the 18th international Qur’an Exhibition in Tehran.All Muslim emphasize that the Qur’an is only revealed in Arabic, the language, which God revealed the codes and His truth. Therefore, memorizing and reciting of the Qur’an in Arabic is important and the recitation of the Qur’an is a worshipful art in Islam.
The proper recitation of the Quran is an important discipline named Tajwid which determines in detail about the patterns of the reciting that how Quran should be recited, how each letter is to be pronounced. Where should pay full attention to the places where there should be a pause, where the pronunciation should be long and where should be short. And also the patterns that which letters should be sounded combine and where should be kept separate etc. It may be said that this theme are the laws and methods of the proper recitation of the Quran and covers three main areas: the proper pronunciation, the rules of pause in recitation, themes and features of recitation.
Qur'an is regarded as an infallible guide to personal piety and community life and completely true in its history and science.The Quran contains complete guidance to the mankind, about Allah, His attributes and man’s relationship to Him. This contains the codes of social and moral behavior and comprehensive details on religion philosophy. But it also contains the history records of some Prophets and peoples, arguments for accepting Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is the last Prophet and good news for the believers and warnings for disbelievers. The Contents of the Qur’an fall into five main categories:
· Nature of the Spiritual Word
· The Laws of Commandments
· Historical Accounts
· The Wisdom
· The Prophecies
